Waplans Mekaniska Verkstad

Waplans Mekaniska Verkstad manufactured around 1200 turbines between 1890 and 1955. Hällarydturbiner, a spin-off from Hällarydsverken, was one of TURAB’s local competitors until 2000, when they went bankrupt.

TURAB then bought all documentation, drawings and casting models from the bankruptcy trustee. We therefore have good access to spare parts and technical documentation for the Hällaryd turbines. We also took over staff, with good knowledge of their machines.
